David Mayhew was born in 1948 at Bedford, and went to school and college in England. He completed his doctorate in Cambridge in 1975. Since then he has lived and worked mainly in the Netherlands.
His work and interests currently include art, music, and research in evolutionary biology.
The art works on this site are part of development of a personal view of the world in which the works of man are seen as temporary and relatively unimportant. Harmony, balance and mood are looked for externally in landscape. And the internal world of archetypal images appears on exploration to be endlessly rich.
